Rebecca Quoted
“At smaller schools, most directors of enrollment are women. At larger schools, it’s men.’
“[Heads of school] positions were designed with a very particular kind of person in mind and that was often a man, often a white man.”
“I had a mentor once tell me that if you want to be ahead of school, you have to get used to having your name burned in effigy.”
“What I've seen lacking in our industry is true professional development that speaks to the managerial piece.”
“We have to manage up as much as we manage down.”
“Schools view the possibility of having a coach for their leaders as an expense, not an investment.”
