SAMPLE JUDGES' COMMENTS
There is a comfort to these images as they reveal that school is a place where kids can be themselves and have friends. Nice consistent post production treatment to make all the photos unified in contrast, color and overall feel. These images work together well as a package and show a clever point of view by the photographer.
They were all nice images and the photographer showed a range of emotions and compositions in their entry.
Lovely story of inclusiveness and finding your home at the school, both as an individual and as part of the learning community.

I liked the photojournalistic approach of this series. The images really told a story from behind the scenes to up on stage.
I like the story told of the students engaged in a (very professional) theater arts program. Nice job of communicating the importance this has in your overall student experience.
There were some nice shots in this coverage of a play rehearsal and I appreciate the different perspectives and angles the photographer used, from an overall in the dressing room shot from above to the tight shot of the actor on stage, making use of the stage lighting for a dramatic look.
BRONZE

The mix of tight and wide shots works well in this photojournalistic package of images. The kids are unaware of the photographer which brings a level of honesty to the pictures.
Nice use of light in capturing the performances.
