Structurally, this blog post highlights all the elements of successful messaging: great use of sub-headings, succinct paragraphs, citations, videos, and resources for further learning. While the topic of mindfulness is one that has become part of many schools' vocabulary this year, Casterson does a great job at defining it and then demonstrating how it can be put into action. I also appreciate that the author chose the topic of mindfulness and stuck to it throughout the blog. Many writers (particularly at schools) would be tempted to broaden the scope of the blog entry to include a "kitchen sink" of self-care ideas that ultimately overwhelm the reader. Well done!

Engaging copy that resonated quickly with the situations many of us found ourselves in during lockdown and then offered practical and easy ways to engage in mindfulness even if you hadn't considered it before.

Structurally, this blog post highlights all the elements of successful messaging: excellent use of sub-headings, succinct paragraphs, citations, references, and an invitation to learn more. Content-wise, I love the approach; it invites the reader to learn something without "blaming and shaming" or polarizing one group against another. I also appreciate how the school chose one facet of racism to discuss (the differences between Black Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter) rather than writing one long blog post about racism in general and throwing the kitchen sink at it. This is a great example of successful messaging — for students and adults alike!
