The Gilman School homepage captivates with its sleek, visually balanced layout that showcases high-quality imagery of students in action, effectively communicating the school's offerings, environments, and culture. The bold use of color and parallax makes navigation intuitive, while the clear calls-to-action guide visitors to explore deeper. The hero section succinctly highlights the school's mission, connecting emotionally with the audience and emphasizing history and commitment to its values. In all, it is a very slick website that stands out and isn't overly designed.
Every aspect of the school is woven beautifully into one home page. Gives a real feel for the ethos and values of the school with enough depth to make me want to find out more.

The lovely use of color and the ribbon effect pull the home page together. The pop-out side panels gave differentiated info dependent on the age of the child, and the read-more social sections were directly related to the content. Great job.

The Carroll School does what it should and it has you pause to wonder why they break up the work differently. Their message of working with dyslexic students is clear and consistent. You know where you're looking on the page with the feature of hovering over an area and transforming from gray to in color. It also embraces the white space of the page to absorb the content instead of feeling the need to fill the space.
The Carroll School homepage excels at presenting its mission through a visually compelling, standout design that integrates professional video and dynamic elements. The storytelling is powerful, immediately engaging visitors with the visual text hooks and "Why Carroll?" sections, highlighting its specialized educational approach with a human touch. The clear navigation and strategic placement of key information encourage parents to delve further, while the warm color palette and inclusive imagery foster a welcoming and unique atmosphere.
Bright and colorful. They are different, and the home page proudly shows this. The info is accessible, and there is enough on-page content to review before you dig deeper.
